Vicente Del Bosque has named a provisional 26-man squad for the Confederations Cup, which takes place from 15 to 30 June.
The most notable inclusion is Fernando Torres, who was left out of the last Spain squad, to face Finland and France.
The Chelsea forward has recovered his form since then and played a crucial role in the Blues winning the Europa League. Another player to have triumphed in Europe this season, Bayern Munich’s Javier Martinez, who the won the Champions League on Saturday, has also been included.
Álvaro Negredo, the second highest scoring Spanish forward in La Liga, has been left out.
The Spain coach will have to leave out a further three players before the team departs for Brazil.
